GET/v1/identity/verification_sessions/{session}

Get a verification session

Retrieves a previously created verification session by its identifier. When the session has requires_input status, use the response to obtain a valid client_secret or url for resubmission.

The unique identifier of the verification session to retrieve. Maximum 5000 characters.
expandarray<string>optional
Fields to expand in the response. Each value must be no longer than 5000 characters.

2 status codes
200Returns the verification session, including its identifier, status, verification type, client secret, metadata, related resources, and any latest error or verification report.
client_reference_idstringoptional
A string to reference this user. This can be a customer ID, a session ID, or similar, and can be used to reconcile this verification with your internal systems.
client_secretstringoptional
The short-lived client secret used by Stripe.js to [show a verification modal](https://docs.stripe.com/js/identity/modal) inside your app. This client secret expires after 24 hours and can only be used once. Don’t store it, log it, embed it in a URL, or expose it to anyone other than the user. Make sure that you have TLS enabled on any page that includes the client secret. Time at which the object was created. Measured in seconds since the Unix epoch.

Error handling

session must identify the verification session to retrieve and must be no longer than 5000 characters. Each expand value must also be no longer than 5000 characters.
