GET/v1/charges/{charge}/dispute

Retrieve a dispute for a charge

Retrieves the dispute associated with a specified charge. Supply charge to inspect the disputed amount, evidence state, status, and related balance transactions. Use the returned dispute details to determine whether evidence or closure actions are available.

The unique identifier of the charge with the dispute. Maximum 5,000 characters.

Fields to expand in the response.

2 status codes
200Returns the dispute object, including disputed amount, status, evidence details, payment information, and balance transactions.
amountintegerrequired
Disputed amount. Usually the amount of the charge, but it can differ (usually because of currency fluctuation or because only part of the order is disputed).
balance_transactionsarray<BalanceTransaction>required
List of zero, one, or two balance transactions that show funds withdrawn and reinstated to your Stripe account as a result of this dispute.
chargestringrequired
ID of the charge that's disputed.
createdintegerrequired
Time at which the object was created. Measured in seconds since the Unix epoch.
currencystringrequired
Three-letter [ISO currency code](https://www.iso.org/iso-4217-currency-codes.html), in lowercase. Must be a [supported currency](https://stripe.com/docs/currencies).

List of eligibility types that are included in `enhanced_evidence`.

is_charge_refundablebooleanrequired
If true, it's still possible to refund the disputed payment. After the payment has been fully refunded, no further funds are withdrawn from your Stripe account as a result of this dispute.

Error handling

charge must identify the charge whose dispute you want to retrieve and must not exceed 5,000 characters. Values in expand must identify response fields and must not exceed 5,000 characters each.
